Arapahoe County is south of the Denver metro area. The County has enjoyed huge growth within the last few years. Arapahoe County has 13 incorporated cities and towns housing a population of 487,967. With it's varity of homes and culture Arapahoe County is vast with over 850 square miles within the metro area. It is located in the south eastern part of the city to include rural areas that farm wheat, cattle and sheep in the eastern portion. The county seat is in Littleton Colorado and the largest city is Aurora Colorado.

Arapahoe County has a rich and vibrant history. It was was the states first county. The name came from the Arapahoe Indians who lived in eastern Colorado. Colorado has a rich history including Stagecoaches and railroads making it easier and faster for people to settle in Arapohoe County.

The county is connected to the city and county of Denver, which is home to several professional sports teams. Your family or friends can also enjoy the county fair located at the new fairgrounds. In addition, the county’s proximity to the Denver metro area allows residents easy access to cultural venues throughout the entire Front Range and metro area.
Many of the Denver metro area’s best parks and trail systems are in the county. Several parks the 17 Mile House and part of the Cherry Creek Trail run within the county. The goal of the county has been to provide recreation opportunities for residents and visitors while preserving the natural beauty of Colorado.
Arapahoe County has the State's best school districts, which is Cheery Creek, offering a wonderful educational opportunity for both children and adults. Other districts include, Aurora, Bennett, Byers, Deer Trail, Englewood, Littleton, Sheridan and Strasburg districts. Colleges and universities include Arapahoe Community College, Columbia College Aurora, Community College of Aurora, Metro State College, Pickens Tech, Regis University, University of Northern Colorado, Webster University and a seminary.
This county is a great place to live, but is a great place to work too. Many of the nation's largest companies are located here specializing in high tech, communication, military, government, service and retail—not to mention specific employers like the Denver Tech Center and Centennial Airport. These companies provide thousands of jobs to residents living in the county in the greater metro area. The median household income is $58,553.
The Aurora Chamber, the Aurora Economic Development Council, Greenwood Village Chamber of Commerce, the southeast Business Partnership and the South Metro Denver Chamber work together improving the business community.
The Denver International Airport one of the nations busiest, serves the metro area with Centennial Airport located in Arapahoe County serving the 13 cites within it. The county also has a new light rail system, taxis, buses and shuttle services available.
